Could you be a Volunteer Leader?

Want to get involved but don’t see any rides in your area? We’re looking for people all over Ireland to become Leaders.

As an AXA Community Bike Rides’ Leader, you’ll inspire others to be passionate about cycling. You’ll get the chance to develop your leadership skills and make new friends while improving your own health and fitness. You don’t need to be a cycling expert, just a confident cyclist with lots of enthusiasm to support others.

If you haven’t already attended a one-day Cycling Ireland Ride Leader course, we’ll provide this training for free. Here's a list of our upcoming courses:

28th July - Cork

17th Aug - Kildare

18th Aug - Antrim

7th Sept - Waterford

8th Sept - Galway

This assessed one-day course qualifies you to facilitate Bike Rides for groups.

You’ll also get:

  • Free bike ride insurance cover.

  • Opportunities to plan and facilitate social rides in your area

  • Free AXA Community Bike Rides’ Leader gilet (on activation of your site)

  • Ongoing support from Cycling Ireland to assist you in facilitating and promoting your location

  • Opportunities to earn rewards

What we’ll need from you:

  • Plan and facilitate a minimum of 10 rides per year

  • Complete pre and post ride administration on www.axacommunitybikerides.com

  • Promote and market your ride locally
