A midweek meander on and off the beaten track, quiet back roads, main roads and cycle tracks. We meet at the front of the Coachmans Inn, on the Old Airport Road in Cloghran and make our way via Stockhole Lane, then Baskin onto the Malahide Road as far as Balgriffin. Taking the Moyne and Grange Roads to Baldoyle. Take care at the level crossing on Baldoyle Road, before turning left in the direction of Howth (don't worry, we're not going up the hill today!) stopping at Sutton Cross. After a refreshing mug o'tay and some chocolate biscuit cake - or whatever you're having yourself- we will take the Strand Road (another level crossing) to Baldoyle and then onto the infamous Portmarnock green(blue)way. Past Portmarnock railway station, the racecourse and Chapel Lane to Kinsealy. A short section of the Malahide Road, with a continuous but gentle ascent all the way back to the meeting point via Feltrim Quarry, Kettles Lane and the Old Airport Road.
(2 to 3hrs max, allows for delays, choo choo trains, cafe etc.)

Cycling 5 years in Fingal & a few holidays across Europe - most recently the Moselle wine valley & Bavarian Brewery Bike tour! In 2018, I took up the Cycling Ireland #2828challenge which led me to joining a club and completing a handful of sportives over the last year. Still learning and still enjoying the leisurely aspect whilst sharing a common interest, with new friends, plenty of coffee, cake and ice-cream!
Damp auld day, didn't deter everyone… A nice short spin, some refreshing drizzle. Coffee and pastries at Sutton Cross
