We have a short spin option back at Higgins Cross by Barnaboy.

The cycle will start by heading to Dooras cross-roads and taking a right for an easy gradient spin via New Gate, Higgins Cross (short spin turn off) on to Maddens Cross. Some up and down hills to and after Hurneys Forge, ending at the main R446 with cross over to Aughrim village. After a break we can return the way we came or return via Gleann onto the main R355 for 2kms, turning right at Stapletons Cross to Clonstuskert and returning to Lawrencetown via Sommerset.

I enjoy keeping active and love cycling for leisure. I am involved with our village's "Let's Get Active" group which promotes health, fitness and well-being for all ages in our community and the surrounding areas. It would be great to encourage locals to cycle as it's an easy, healthy and fun way to get out in the fresh air for a break from everyday life 😀.
