Description

A nice chillaxin' cycle out the quiet Barnaboy road, passing Someset and turning right towards Madden's Cross in Clontuskert. Straight through the crossroads, passing Hurney's Forge and following the Beara Breifne Way on into Aughrim village where we can all relax with a nice coffee and bun in Valerie's of Aughrim. We will return to Lawrencetown via same route.

Notes for cycle:

-No helmet, no cycle - you must wear a helmet.

-Please ensure you have a back-up lift home should a puncture occur.

-If cold, wear layers on top, rain jacket, warm socks and runners, gloves. If warm wear sun-screen!

-Bring a small back pack with water and a light snack e.g. banana, apple, energy bar.

-Bring a few €€’s for a cuppa – support local!

About

I enjoy keeping active and love cycling for leisure. I am involved with our village's "Let's Get Active" group which promotes health, fitness and well-being for all ages in our community and the surrounding areas. It would be great to encourage locals to cycle as it's an easy, healthy and fun way to get out in the fresh air for a break from everyday life 😀.
