We begin this cycle at Barntown Church car park, making our way up through the church grounds and out the back gate. We turn right here and cycle up the hill towards Slaneyview and Kingsford. We will cycle for about 6kms, taking on a few small hills on our way. At the junction for Growtown lane, we will turn left and make our way towards Trinity Hill where we turn left again and cycle up the actual hill which takes us up towards the cools. We turn right at the top of the hill and cycle up to Pennylands passing the two trailheads on our way. The first one being at the local Grotto and the second one being Pennylands trailhead itself. We take the next lefthand turn which takes us along a stretch of about 2kms, with stunning views out over the Wexford coastline. At the end of this road, we turn left again and cycle up the small hill to the entrance of Carrigfoyle Lake car park. We turn right in the entrance here and cycle our way down through this trail area coming out the other end at Matt's Lane. Again, there is some stunning views of the harbour from up here. At the end of Matt's Lane, we follow the road around and keep left heading down towards the Three Rocks monument in Barntown. We pass it on our way and we head down the very narrow road with grass in the middle and wind our way back down into Barntown Village, passing the parish pump as we go. At the bottom of the hill we turn left again and make our way over the short distance to the back entrance of the church car park where we started.

I love my bike! I love adventure, being outside in the fresh air, on the move, all year round. I love how it makes me feel - Alive! I honestly believe the best experiences are shared experiences which is why I decided to register to become a Ride Leader. I want to share the 'Feel Good' with as many people as possible. We will never be as young again as we are now, let's give it a go and see what happens!
A beautiful summers evening for a spin in the countryside. It was gorgeous. The views out over Wexford harbour were stunning!
