Description

On leaving Askeaton we will cross over the Deel river & follow it towards Ballysteen & Beagh Castle on the Shannon estuary. Here we will take a break to enjoy this beautiful viewing point of Shannon airport & the Clare Hills. From here we will take the very quiet rural road to Pallaskenry where we will turn right for Curraghchase National Park. There is a slight sharp climb on leaving Curraghchase (walking up is an option) as its quiet short. We will cycle towards the grand gates & turn right for our finish line Askeaton. This is a fabulous sightseeing route so hopefully the sun will join us!

What a wonderful start to out 2020 cycle season, sunshine scones/coffee stop & fantastic company. The route today took us all along the Shannon estuary on very quiet & peaceful roads. This type of cycle gave you time to relax enjoy & chat to the other cyclists. Until our next spin out together, safe cycling everyone!
