Cappagh and Strathroy Loop 1

Tyrone & Fermanagh Hospital
Group size

Road/Hybrid Bikes

To join this ride you need to be capable of cycling 8 miles, but not fast. We leave the T&F grounds and take a left at the roundabout. We take a second left onto the Drumnakilly Road.  We then take the next left onto Farmhill Road and on reaching the Cookstown Road, we head straight across onto the Old Mountfield Road. We pass the Village Inn on our right and continue through two mini roundabouts and take the second right onto Castleview Road which turns into Glencam Road.

On reaching the Gortin Road, we turn right and travel for a short distance before taking a left onto Cappagh Road. This is a very country road and we may have to go single file. This road turns into Strathroy Road and we stay on this road until we join the Gortin Road again. We take a left and further on we take a right back onto the Glencam Road. On reaching the Old Mountfield Road, we take a right and continue on for 500 yards, where we take a left onto Oakland Avenue followed by Knocknamoe Road. We take a right at the junction on the Cookstown Road and head back towards the town. At the roundabout we take the first left and head up the Hospital Road and back to the T & F grounds. We will then enjoy a well deserved cuppa.
