This trip is a “figure of 8” loop around Clarinbridge. Starting from the school in Clarinbridge we head towards Kilcolgan, turning left before Kilcolgan to bring us to Roveagh where we turn right and travel on over the Dunkellin river. We then turn right again which brings us back to Kilcolgan.
From Kilcolgan, we go to Ballinderreen where we turn right and travel along a fairly quiet and narrow road, bringing us past the derelict Tyrone House, Kilcolgan Castle and back once again to Kilcolgan.
We turn left bringing us back to Clarinbridge where we will stop for coffee at Goat’s Lane café, having completed about 22km. Don't forget to bring some money for coffee and cake!
After the coffee break, we will complete another loop, travelling down through Maree and back through Creganna. At the end of the Creganna road, we turn right and return to Clarinbridge to finish the spin for a total distance of about 35km.

I've been cycling for over 20 years both individually and as part of a cycling club. I've really enjoyed cycling in a group, both the exercise and the social side. I'd like to help others in the locality to get out on their bikes and get that enjoyment as well. Nothing too strenuous and guaranteed to include some decent coffee stops along the way!
Lovely spin this morning. Dry and warm, no wind. Perfect conditions for cycling. Coffee stop at Goat's Lane cafe in Clarinbridge in their outdoor courtyard. Ideal for a stop off on your cycle. Overall stats for the spin:
Average Speed: 20km/hr
Cycling duration: 1 hr 45 mins
Total duration: 2 hr 30 mins (Must have spent too long at the coffee stop!)
