Commencing from Comber Leisure Centre, this route takes us along the shore of Strangford Lough before we head inland on a scenic route to Killyleagh via Ballygraffan, Ballygowan, Darragh Cross and Shrigley. After a well earned coffee stop in Killyleagh, we take the very scenic route to Sketrick Island via Shrigley, Ringdufferin and the Ballymorran Rd where we enjoy some beautiful vistas. After a futher short stop at Daft Eddies for refreshments, we return to our starting point via Lisbane, Tullynagee Rd and the shore road to Comber.
This is a lovely route with some excellent cycling roads. There are a few challenging hills but the scenery will make the cycle very pleasant and one you will want to repeat.

I'm an enthusiastic leisure cyclist, being a member of my local club in Killinchy. Earlier in 2019, I completed a charity cycle for Marie Curie from Malin Head to Mizen Head. Cycling is how I get my exercise, helping me control my weight, all the while enjoying good fun and camaraderie with my friends. I'm keen to help people in my local area, who perhaps presently cycle alone or in small groups, build their confidence so they can enjoy the experience that cycling in a larger group can bring.
