We'll start in Fitzgerald's Park. After crossing the city passing by Páirc Uí Chaoimh and The Atlantic Pond, we'll take the Greenway through Mahon until Jacob's Island. From there we'll go towards Garryduff Woods until Strawhall and Rafeen Bridge. That country road will take us all the way to Leacht Cross and Carrigaline. After a short while on the main road to Crosshaven, we'll turn right towards Myrtleville following the road all the way to Crosshaven.
We'll head back to Cork taking the main road, parallel to the Greenway, until reaching Carrigaline at which we'll be taking the Cork road and leaving it at the main roundabout. We'll stay on the main road until reaching Raffeen Village, continuing by the river Lee, passing Monkstown and Passage West towards Rochestown.
We'll take the Greenway, next to Lough Mahon this time, untill reaching Blackrock Castle. Then we'll go through the Marina and head back to Fitzgerald's Park for a cuppa.
I have been cycling all my life and I love it! Whether going to work or for the pleasure of it, I like the freedom and health aspect of it. For the last number of years I have been a member of a cycling group and I have become interested in sharing my experiences with others. Therefore, I would love to help and support people that would like to get into cycling but don't know how to do it or lack the skills and confidence to do so.
