This is a easy going mostly flat route with a few small hills and bridges.
We will leave from the school in Nurney turning left down past the church. We will then turn left after the bridge at O'Brien's pub and head straight on to Walterstown. We will turn left at Walterstown cottages. At Duneany cross, we will continue straight towards Monasterevin. After almost 3km, we will turn left again at the thatched cottage heading back towards Kildangan. At the top of this road we will turn right for Kildangan. At Kildangan church we will take another left through Rickardstown and on to Cherrymills and Mylerstown. At Mylerstown we will take a left up to Mylerstown cross. We will continue straight at the cross through Balkinstown and on to Kildoon. Turning left at Martin's pub, we will head for Walterstown cross. Taking the left again we will head into Nurney. We will finish with a last push up the hill back to the school.
Don't forget to bring money as we will then head for a cuppa and chat in the Spar across from the school. Looking forward to seeing you all on the day.
Please remember to bring your helmet and wear appropriate clothes for the weather.
I'm an enthusiastic leisure cyclist for the last 3 years and it would be great to get as many people as possible out cycling. I started off struggling to do 20km and now I look forward to the next sportive!
Another great spin this morning. I think we may have spent more time talking over tea & coffee than cycling but we still managed 20km. Looking forward to the next spin
