Description

Meeting up at Lumville house on the edge of the Curragh we will have a chat about the route before we set off. Leaving Lumville we take a right up to the Ballymany roundabout. Taking the first exit we head in through the Curragh camp and on for Brownstown cross and then Farrell’s cross. At Farrell’s cross we take a left into Cutbush and Ballysax. After 3 km we take a left just after the church through Ballysax hills (mostly downhill). At the end of the road we come back out on to the Curragh plains and take a right up the hill towards the Kilsaran quarryKeeping around to the left we head on for Sunnyhill and Athgarvan Heights. At the bottom of the hill we turn right through the Curragh golf course and up to Donnelly’s Hollow.

At Donnelly’s Hollow we take another right turn up to Athgarvan school before turning left up the hill and onto Athgarvan cross. Going straight through the cross and on towards the rugby club and turning left before the motorway bridge. Following this road all the way through Hillsborough and Great Connell up to Pfizer. Turing left at the roundabout all the way to Newbridge main street. Here we have plenty of options for a tea/coffee stop so dont forget some cash or a card.

After our stop we head on through the town up to Ballymany cross roads turning left onto the Green road all the way back to Lumville house.
