We head up the main N11 road which offers us a good surface and hard shoulder all the way to Enniscorthy. We pass through the village of Oilgate and Scurloughsbush roundabout as we go. On our left-hand side we have beautiful views of the River Slaney on approach to Enniscorthy. As we enter the town we keep left on the bridge, taking an immediate left again to take us down onto the promenade.
Enniscorthy is a very scenic town so if anyone wants to stop at any point to have a closer look at anything or take pictures, you are more than welcome. We take the second right hand turn and head up through Mill Yard Lane, then Friary Hill and then Hospital Lane, taking us up onto Parnell Road. From here we make our way over to the Duffry where the iconic Tour de France statue sits! We will stop here for some photos. Now is a good opportunity to drink some water and have a snack.
We then head back down the main street, down Slaney street and out over the old bridge to leave town. We have a lane change on this bridge so we need to concentrate. We cycle back out along the quay and back out on the N11 heading for Wexford. Passing back through scurloughsbush roundabout and again through Oilgate. You will be pleased to hear that at Kyle cross we take a lefthand turn for crossabeg. We will have our much awaited coffee stop at 'The Hatch' tea & coffee trailer. Our stop will be 20 mins approximately and afterwards we will make our way back out onto the N11 and cycle the short distance back to the castle car park.

I love my bike! I love adventure, being outside in the fresh air, on the move, all year round. I love how it makes me feel - Alive! I honestly believe the best experiences are shared experiences which is why I decided to register to become a Ride Leader. I want to share the 'Feel Good' with as many people as possible. We will never be as young again as we are now, let's give it a go and see what happens!
Great to be back! The weather was sketchy but it didn't dampen our spirits. We had great fun taking pics at the Tour de France statue at the Duffry in Enniscorthy. We are all so proud Enniscorthy has been give the title of Tour de France Cycling City, the only place outside mainland Europe to recieve the title. There was cyclists everywhere we went today. Great to see everybody out enjoying a spin with their friends. We had a lovely socially distanced coffee stop at Enniscorthy, it felt like being on holiday sitting in the little cobbled street. Thanks everyone for another great day out!
