Description

Departing from the centoaph in the centre of Groomsport Village, we follow the scenic and generally very, flat road through Donaghadee and Millisle to Ballywalter where we will stop for refeshments. After a short stop our return journery commences inland back to Millisle via Greyabbey and Carrowdore. Once in Millislle we follow the coast road back through Donaghadee to Groomsport.

This will be a generally easy going route with spectacular scenery along this coastal route and is suited for all casual / leisure cyclists.

About

I'm an enthusiastic leisure cyclist, being a member of my local club in Killinchy. Earlier in 2019, I completed a charity cycle for Marie Curie from Malin Head to Mizen Head. Cycling is how I get my exercise, helping me control my weight, all the while enjoying good fun and camaraderie with my friends. I'm keen to help people in my local area, who perhaps presently cycle alone or in small groups, build their confidence so they can enjoy the experience that cycling in a larger group can bring.

A beautiful morning for a bike ride. Sunshine and light winds made for an enjoyable morning enjoying the scenic coastal route to Ballywalter. Our inland return journey took us through scenic Greyabbey and Carrowdore before we returned to the coastal route home from Millisle.
