Departing from the centoaph in the centre of Groomsport Village we follow the scenic and generally very flat road through Donaghadee and Millisle to Ballywalter where we will stop for refeshments in the Ballywalter Tea & Craft Rooms. After a short stop our return journery commences inland back to Millisle via the Dunover, Cardy and Manse Roads, through Carrowdore, and then the Grangee and Abbey Roads. Once in Millislle we follow the coast road back through Donaghadee to Groomsport.

This will be a generally easy going route with spectacular scenery along this coastal route and is suited for all casual/leisure cyclists.

I'm an enthusiastic leisure cyclist, being a member of my local club in Killinchy. Earlier in 2019, I completed a charity cycle for Marie Curie from Malin Head to Mizen Head. Cycling is how I get my exercise, helping me control my weight, all the while enjoying good fun and camaraderie with my friends. I'm keen to help people in my local area, who perhaps presently cycle alone or in small groups, build their confidence so they can enjoy the experience that cycling in a larger group can bring.

Lovely morning for a cycle along the scenic coastal road from Groomsport to Ballywalter. Weather was dry albeit the wind got up for our return journey after coffee and scones in Ballywalter. Great camaraderie and chat as usual and a nice steady pace today ensured we all had an enjoyable bike ride.
