To the Hill of Tara - on as few hills and as many tarred roads as possible!
This is a challenging ride, in terms of distance. If you're already managing 35 to 40km rides and ready to step it up, then this is the one for you, be sure to bring plenty of sustenance to keep you going.
We will meet outside the church at Balheary Ave/Road, just outside Swords and keep to the quieter north county roads via Ballyboughal and Oldtown B4, crossing the border into Meath. Winding our way past Ashbourne, Curragha, Skreen before we take our seats with the High Kings atop Tara. A brief rest, tea and scones to be sampled, before a more direct return route; Dunshaughlin, Ratoath and the Rolestown Road back to our start/finish point.

Cycling 5 years in Fingal & a few holidays across Europe - most recently the Moselle wine valley & Bavarian Brewery Bike tour! In 2018, I took up the Cycling Ireland #2828challenge which led me to joining a club and completing a handful of sportives over the last year. Still learning and still enjoying the leisurely aspect whilst sharing a common interest, with new friends, plenty of coffee, cake and ice-cream!
I held out until the last minute, but no takers, so I went on my own!
