Road/Hybrid Bikes

We start at the Carnegie Library on John's quay. From there we head to Greens hill and onto the Bleach road. This quiet road runs parallel to the River Nore for approx 5kms. At Heneburys cross, we join the main Kilkenny-Castlecomer road and proceed in single file for around 2kms until we take a left turn for Jenkinstown park. After about 3kms on quiet, rural roads we arrive at Jenkinstown. There we can relax and enjoy a coffee at the resident coffee stand. To return to Kilkenny we simply retrace our route back to the City.

I am a leisure cyclist for many years. Over the last few years I have participated in many AXA Community Bike Rides and like their camaraderie and ethos. I have completed the leaders course so that I can share that enjoyment with fellow leisure cyclists.

Fabulous morning for a ramble to one of Kilkennys beauty spots. Also had a lovely coffee and chat before wending our way home.
