This route will depart Kesh village travelling towards Belleek on the Boa Island Road. At Leggs, the ride will take a right turn towards Pettigo. Once in Pettigo we will travel back to Kesh. The roads are main but should be quiet in the evenings. The route is mostly flat with a few small hills and drags that are achievable for anyone out on their first bike ride. We will stop at Palm Bush filling station for refreshments so please bring some money for a cuppa! Come along and learn more about cycling with like minded people of similar abilities.
I am an enthusiastic leisure cyclist and would love to share the joys of cycling with people from my local area. I have been enjoying road cycling for a number of years and am keen to help you to get fit in a fun way.
Tonight we cycled a stunning scenic route alongside Lough Erne then backed up on ourselves through Pettigo village. We welcomed a new spinner David! Well done to everyone for trying out roll overs, some for the first time! Our group had to pleasure of welcoming Mary Corry from Cycling Ireland on our spin. Mary is our ‘go to’ person in relation to these cycles and is very busy working with all the volunteers right across Ireland to get as many cycles up and running. We all enjoyed a whippy ice cream at Palm Bush filling station on the way home. Well done everyone!
