Leaving the school, we will turn right onto Bride Street and continue onto the junction at the Church where we turn left onto Tully Road. Down past the National Stud, we will turn left and continue to Treacy's Cross, where we will veer left. We will travel this road to its junction with the Maddenstown Road, and turn left. This road will bring us back to the main Kildare to Newbridge road at Chapman's Garage, where we will turn right. We will then go past the Kildare Chilling factory, and take the next left. On to the next junction, turning left. This area is known as the “Bucket.” We will then head across the Curragh towards Kildare Town, passing Kildare Enterprise Centre on the right. We will then turn right into the Centra shop, where we will stop for tea or coffee and a chat. Leaving Centra, we will turn right and continue onto the Apache Pizza junction. We will then turn left and continue back through the town square to Bride Street, where we turn right back into the school.

I am a leisure cyclist, and leisurely is what I mean! I would love you to join me on a nice easy spin, where the emphasis is on enjoying the scenery, getting a bit of fresh air, exercise, and having fun. I have experienced first hand the benefits of cycling from both a health and mind point of view, and have met and socialised with some fantastic people. Whether you are trying cycling for the first time, or returning after years away, these outings will help you on your journey. Looking forward to meeting you and having a chat over coffee!

AXA Community Bike Rides, first outing today, 10km cycle, ideal  for beginners. Half the participants pulled out due to the bad weather, the rain stopped 2 minutes before the off and we never saw another drop of rain after that! All enjoyed it, and the coffee stop after.
