Description

An easy pace with a mixture of road and off-road cycling starting along the Canal walk by the River Nore in the shadow of Kilkenny Castle. We will head on to Bennettsbridge Road, Nuncio Road, Waterford Road, Coote’s Lane, Roberts Hill, some lane ways over to Stephen's Street and back onto the road to the Sycamores, along the river bank known as Linear Walk, Riverside Drive, more laneways onto Dean Street over the Francis Abbey Bridge, onto the Quay over the Lady Desart Bridge up through the city centre and back to the Canal Square. We’ll then enjoy coffee and cake at Kitty's Cabin.

Make sure you wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions. Also, remember your money for the coffee stop and a lock may be useful as we will probably end up sitting inside.

A gorgeous, sunny morning in Kilkenny for this city spin. Unfortunately this spin went from fully booked to just three people, who enjoyed it thoroughly. We changed our plan to have coffee in The Yard Cafe for the newly opened Butler Gallery Cafe, Muse, Coffee and Food which I have to say was excellent. This was a lovely spin with chat and coffee.
