Leaving Blessington we take a quiet road that brings us to Manor Kilbride. Here we take a left turn bringing us through Manor Kilbride Village. Just outside the village, we take a right turn and then a quick left and follow the quiet flat road to Lisheen Springs Golf Club. On arriving at the golf club, we will take a quick break and then u-turn and follow the same route back to Manor Kilbride Village. This time we will continue through the village and towards Oldcourt. On the approach to Oldcourt we have the only hill on our cycle. It is not too demanding or long and we will take all the time needed to clear it. We then have a nice flat road cycling alongside the Blessington Lower lake. On reaching the Blessington Bridge we will take a right turn and then a left turn which brings us onto a little drag back to Blessington Village. On returning to the village, hopefully we can find a café open where we can get refreshed.

I am a member of the local cycling club here in Blessington, the Reservoir Cogs. I’m passionate about cycling and all things outdoors mainly because of the area I live in and what it has to offer. I’d like to welcome cyclists of all levels to join me so I can show you our beautiful area and to help you build a level of fitness and enjoyment, to meet new like minded people and of course coffee and cake!
A nice evening cycle along the Blessington lake and past the ruins of Threecastle's.
