Leaving from the Quay Car Park in Thomastown, we will take the R448 past Jerpoint Abbey turning right for Mount Juliet at Goatsbridge trout farm and journeying onto Stoneyford where we will take a break for our cuppa at Knockdrinna Cafe. Once refreshed we will take the quiet road along by Ballylinch and Norelands's stud farm until we reach the t-junction on the R700 main Bennettsbridge Thomastown road where we will turn right to bring us back to Thomastown. This is a lovely scenic route with beautiful views of the river Nore, as this is also in National Bike Week it is a great week to get out for a bike ride.

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
