Rosslare Strand Loop 1

Group size

All Bikes

Leaving Rosslare strand, we turn left coming out of the carpark and progress up the hill towards Mauritius town. The road at the top swings round to the right and takes us up over the first of our railway bridges, we cycle straight on to the junction and then take a left hand turn and head over in the direction of Tagoat.

At Tagoat we cross the main N25 Rosslare road and cycle up to the right, heading over in the direction of Ballycorboys, passing through the staggard junction of the cross of twelve acre. Continuing on, we take a right hand turn at the cross of green field and head for Montfield crossroads; here we turn right again and head for Killinick where we have our coffee stop at Karoo Farmshop.

We are 12k into our cycle at this stage. We stop for coffee for 20 mins approx and then head back out onto the main N25, Rosslare road. This means taking a right hand turn coming off the junction at Killinick and cycling down the main road to Ashfield roundabout. We will take the first exit off this roundabout and head down the R740 heading back towards Rosslare strand. At the small roundabout, we cycle left and continue on down through Grange little, taking another left turn to leave this road and cycle down the actual Grange road. This road will take us up over our second railway bridge and onto a T juction where we turn right. We cycle down past Kelly's hotel and make our way back to our start point which is on the left hand side. This carpark has access to public toilets.

I love my bike! I love adventure, being outside in the fresh air, on the move, all year round. I love how it makes me feel - Alive! I honestly believe the best experiences are shared experiences which is why I decided to register to become a Ride Leader. I want to share the 'Feel Good' with as many people as possible. We will never be as young again as we are now, let's give it a go and see what happens!
