Description

We will leave from The Quay car park, travelling out the Station road and turning right just before Ballylinch Stud gates. Follow this small road until we reach the roundabout at Dunphy's Centra Garage. Proceeding up to the next roundabout and turning left onto the R448 towards Dungarvin. Approximately 2kms out this road we will turn right for Kilmurray and continue on this road until we reach the T-junction on the Thomastown/Graignamanagh road where we will turn right bringing us back to Thomastown. We will enjoy a well earned cuppa and cake here with lots of chat at one of the cafes in the Market Square. This ride is designed for anyone wanting a short spin, or for anyone wanting to get back to some cycling, at an enjoyable and easy pace. If you have children in school you will be back by 11.30, so lots of time to collect them.

Please click here to familarise yourself with the Safety Guidance in place for group rides during Covid-19.

Please also complete a self-assessment personal screening questionnaire in advance of your bike ride.

About

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
