Description

We will set off from Thomastown taking the R448 towards Jerpoint Abbey, turning at Goat's bridge trout farm. We will then be taking a right turn onto a quiet road passing Mount Juliet and journeying onto Stoneyford, where we will enjoy our cuppa, cake and chat at Knockdrinna cafe. Leaving Stoneyford we will turn right cycling across Norelands's and Knockanore bringing us to Killarney cross, where we will take a left turn onto the R700 and then turn right onto a nice quiet back road to bring us to Tullaherin tower and then to Stroen fountain. We will rejoin the R448 again turning right to bring us back to Thomastown. This is a fabulous cycle! Scenic and historic all in one.

About

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
