An easy going, group spin on the quiet roads around Swords, Fingal. Meeting outside Applegreen Mountgorry (Swords - > Malahide Road).

Following introductions and briefing, we'll take the shortcut through to Swords Business Park and make our way down to Broadmeadows Estuary. If necessary, we'll use the footbridge to cross the busy bypass at Fingallians roundabout, then follow the trail through the park to Ennis lane and onwards to Balheary airstrip. A slightly busier road takes us to Ballyboughal village so it's time for a quick cuppa & a muffin! This is our halfway point before turning back onto a twisty but quiet lane once more. As we near Roganstown, if you hear gunfire, don't worry it's just the local shooting grounds, don't forget your high vis gear and helmet just in case, lol…

A lovely, long straight might tempt your inner Bennett/Kelly/Roche, as we zoom along Balheary Avenue and make our way back to Swords - til we meet again.

Cycling 5 years in Fingal & a few holidays across Europe - most recently the Moselle wine valley & Bavarian Brewery Bike tour! In 2018, I took up the Cycling Ireland #2828challenge which led me to joining a club and completing a handful of sportives over the last year. Still learning and still enjoying the leisurely aspect whilst sharing a common interest, with new friends, plenty of coffee, cake and ice-cream!

3 riders joined me for this easy going spin. Nice quiet roads and a lovely sunny day. The recent level 3 restrictions for Dublin meant a take away coffee only!
