We meet today at the entrance to the Meadows & Byrne car park in Drinagh for our spin down to Rosslare.

We leave the car park and turn right at the small roundabout, heading towards Rosslare. We almost immediately meet the bigger Meadows & Byrne roundabout and here we go straight, giving way to traffic on the right. We continue along the N25 on the hard shoulder as far as Killinick and then head to the Ashfield Roundabout where we go left for Rosslare Strand. We have the option of a small cycle path at the roundabout, which allows us to pass through the roundabout more safely. We continue along the R740 to Rosslare Strand where we will stop for our coffee break.

From the Strand, we cycle the short distance on the R736 to the village of Tagoat. In Tagoat, we turn right and go back up the N25 as far as the Ashfield Roundabout where we turn right. Again, as before, we can use the cycle path at the roundabout. We carry on to Killinick and then to the Meadows & Byrne roundabout where we use the right lane and go straight. It's a short distance from here to the small roundabout where we go left back to the car park where we began our cycle.

I live in Castlebridge in Co. Wexford and I am a keen leisure cyclist. I try to get out as often as possible and enjoy cycling mostly within my own locality. I would love to see more people out on their bikes, taking advantage of all the health and social benefits that cycling has to offer.
