We will take the Graignamanagh road out of Thomastown and on to the R703 until we reach Coppenagh, where we will have completed the challenging part of this ride as it is mostly uphill for 9 km. We will turn left onto the L4203 which will take us via the Stook hill to Dungarvin. At the top of the Stook we will stop to enjoy the view and then take it nice and easy downhill to Dungarvin village where we will have our cuppa. Once rested we will head back to Thomastown on the R448. This is a challenging ride but well worth doing as the scenery is fabulous.

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
Ride had to be abandoned due to rain! We were only out for fifteen minutes.
