Description

We will depart Thomastown from SuperValu car park on the Gowran road, traveling to Dungarvin where we will take a right turn onto a quiet road that will take us in a loop bringing us out onto the Goresbridge/Gowran road into Gowran village. We will journey through the village and onto Bennettsbridge, for our well earned coffee and cake. Once refreshed at Crafted Cafe we will journey across the bridge passing by Nicholas Mosse pottery onto Ennisnag and then Stoneyford. We will take a left at the bottom of the village towards Noreland's and onto Killarney cross. From there we will be on the main Bennettsbridge to Thomastown road and our last 5kms downhill all the way home. This is a challenging ride because of the distance, but there are no big hills and the roads we will be travelling are very scenic and enjoyable on a summers day.

About

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
