Description

Meeting up at 6.45pm in SuperValu car park Thomastown, we will take the Gowran road to bring us all the way to Paulstown. We will be turning left at both roundabouts to take us towards Kilkenny on the old Carlow road until we reach Paddy's Pub, where we will turn left again to bring us to Gowran. Here we will be turning right and returning to Thomastown through Dungarvin and back to SuperValu. This ride is challenging as we will be attempting to hold a pace of 20kms per hour. We will take a ten minute break in Paulstown, so bring along an energy snack or piece of fruit to keep your energy levels up, and of course plenty of water. This is a route I do quite a lot and find it a very comfortable, easy ride, but always easier with company.

About

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
