Description

We will leave 'The Quay' car park in Thomastown and take the road to Jerpoint Abbey and onto Knocktopher, before turning right for Stoneyford. Having travelled through the village, we will turn right at Ennisnag taking the Annamult Road into Bennettsbridge where we can stop at Nicholas Mosse pottery for our coffee. From here, we will cross the bridge keeping right onto the Thomastown Road. This will take us to a left turn and bring us onto the old road which is much quieter traffic wise. We continue through Killarney crossroads, taking us out onto the Gowran Road at The Longman, before turning right and heading directly back into Thomastown. This is a really nice route with some hills (all easily climbed) and some lovely countryside surrounding us.

About

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
