Route: We head left out the heritage park gate onto the R730, along by the river Slaney, under the railway bridge (where we turn right again) and continue up along beside the river.
At Cornwall, we turn down the hill to the right and take the next immediate right, taking us down the hill to Killurin bridge over the river Slaney. We cross the bride and make our way up through the deeps, up into Kilpatrick and onto Kyle cross. This is the junction that crosses the main N11 Wexford to Dublin road. We need to take due care when crossing.
We pick up the L3005 road on the far side of the junction and cycle on over to Castlebridge. There is stunning views of the river on the way over. Good news, our coffee stop is at Castlebridge at O Hana Café, just on the way out of town. The coffee stop is approx. 20 mins.
Leaving O Hana café, turn right, crossing the road and using the cycle lane, where available, to take us all the way into Wexford bridge. We cross the bridge and at the traffic lights on the farside we turn right up the quay in the direction of Redmond Square. We hang left on entry to the square and cycle up Slaney street and up through Westgate. We change lanes at Westgate, moving into the righthand side lane and we head down 1798 street, changing lanes again, back into the lefthand lane which takes us out the Redmond road. We continue out this road, passing through Park and on to Ferrycarrig. We cycle under our second railway bridge, which takes us up to the junction of the main N11 Wexford to Dublin road. We turn left entering the road and cycle up the hard shoulder as a group before ensuring the road is clear for us to move over into the outside lane. We will take a right turn, leaving this main road and heading back down the R730 back to our start point at the Heritage Park.

I love my bike! I love adventure, being outside in the fresh air, on the move, all year round. I love how it makes me feel - Alive! I honestly believe the best experiences are shared experiences which is why I decided to register to become a Ride Leader. I want to share the 'Feel Good' with as many people as possible. We will never be as young again as we are now, let's give it a go and see what happens!
Wow - Winters morning at its very best. We had cold low lying fog for about 80% of the bike ride today. On approach to Wexford bridge, we could only see about 10%. However, a fantastic day to be out, we embraced the day we got and took great pleasure from the stunning landscape that surrounded us for most of it. The fog was so thick we could look up and see the pale opaque disc in the sky that goes by the name of the sun.
